CLEANING SERVICE TERMS & CONDITIONS

By booking a cleaning service, the client agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.

  1. PAYMENT TERMS

Payment is required by close of business on the same day the cleaning service is completed.

Accepted payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Direct Bank Transfer
  • PayID

If payment is not received by close of business on the day of service, a $12 late fee will be added for each day the invoice remains unpaid until the balance is settled.

  1. CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that life happens. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations so we can attempt to fill the booking.

If cancellations occur consistently, or if a cancellation is made on the day of the scheduled service, the full service fee may be charged.

  1. ACCESS TO PROPERTY

Clients must provide full access to the property, including water and electricity.

Pets must be safely contained to allow cleaning to take place.

  1. WAIT TIME POLICY

If the client is not home at the scheduled time, we will wait up to 15 minutes and attempt to contact the client by phone or text.

If access cannot be gained after 15 minutes, the full service fee may be charged.

Confirmation messages will be sent the day before the scheduled service.

  1. CONFIDENTIALITY

All client information, personal details, and property information will remain strictly confidential.

We respect our clients’ privacy and will not discuss or share client details with any third party.

  1. SOCIAL MEDIA & REVIEW CONSENT

Before and after photos may be taken for marketing purposes if consent is given.

Photos and reviews may be used on social media or promotional material. Client names, personal items, or identifying details will not be shared without permission.

 

  1. EQUIPMENT USE

If the client requests the cleaner to use the client’s vacuum, mop, or other equipment:

  • The client confirms equipment is safe and in working condition
  • The cleaner is not responsible for equipment malfunction or damage
  • Photos may be taken before use, and a waiver may be required

 

  1. WEATHER CONDITIONS

If extreme weather occurs (e.g., temperatures above 36°C) and fans or air conditioning are not allowed, the service may be rescheduled for safety reasons.

  1. FURNITURE & HEAVY ITEMS

The cleaner will not move heavy furniture such as bookcases, TV units, or cabinets.

If cleaning these areas is required, the client must move items prior to the service.

  1. OUT OF SCOPE QUOTES

Quotes are based on information provided by the client.

If a walkthrough or video inspection is not possible, the quote may change if the scope of work differs significantly upon arrival.

  1. COMPLAINTS & SATISFACTION

Clients must notify us of any dissatisfaction within 24 hours.

The client must allow access within 72 hours for the issue to be reviewed and resolved.

  1. TERMINATION OF SERVICES

We reserve the right to terminate services for:

  • Continuous late payments
  • Frequent cancellations or no-shows
  • Unsafe or hazardous working conditions
  • Disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour
  • Repeated breaches of these Terms & Conditions

  1. CLIENT EXPECTATIONS OF THE CLEANER

The cleaner agrees to:

  • Treat the client’s home and belongings with care and respect
  • Perform cleaning services to the best of their ability
  • Maintain professionalism at all times
  • Communicate promptly if any issues arise during the service
  • Contact the client immediately if any accidental damage occurs

 

  1. CLEANER EXPECTATIONS OF THE CLIENT

The client agrees to:

  • Provide a safe working environment
  • Provide access to water and electricity
  • Contain pets if required
  • Communicate cleaning needs clearly
  • Ensure access to the property at the scheduled time
  • Treat the cleaner with respect and professionalism

  1. ADDITIONAL SERVICE CONDITIONS

Additional Tasks: Additional requests outside the original scope may incur extra charges.

Condition of Property: If the property is significantly dirtier than expected, extra charges may apply.

Time Limits: Services are performed within allocated booking time. Extra tasks may incur additional charges or rescheduling.

Cleaning Results: Results may vary depending on the age, condition, and wear of surfaces. Some stains or marks may be permanent.

Minimum Booking Time: All cleaning services are subject to a minimum booking of ____ hours.

Child Safety: Children must be supervised during cleaning services.

Parking / Access Costs: Any required parking fees or access costs may be charged to the client.

Right to Refuse Service: Services may be refused or terminated if the environment is unsafe, unsanitary, or disrespectful.

  1. HEALTH & SAFETY

The cleaner reserves the right to refuse or stop a cleaning service if the environment is considered unsafe or hazardous, including:

  • Biohazards or bodily fluids
  • Pest infestations
  • Dangerous chemicals
  • Unsafe flooring or structural hazards

If the cleaner must leave due to safety concerns, the service fee may still apply.

  1. SUPPLIES & PRODUCTS

Unless agreed, the cleaner provides standard cleaning products.

Client-provided products or specialty treatments may incur additional charges or liability if damage occurs.

  1. LOCKOUT / KEY POLICY

If the cleaner arrives and cannot access the property, the full service fee may be charged.

If keys are provided, they will be kept secure and confidential, and not labelled with identifying details.

  1. RESCHEDULING

Clients may reschedule with at least 24 hours notice. Requests with less notice may be treated as cancellations.

  1. DOCUMENT UPDATES

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always apply to ongoing services.
